Improving gas mileage
Thank to everyone who responded to my pervious postings. The information was invaluable to me and I really, really appreciate you taking the time to answer me. The choices come down to a v10 w/4.30 axle or diesel w/3.73 axle. My personal choice would be the V10. However, the thought of getting 7 or 8 miles on a trip across the country scares me to death. Is there anything that can be done to improve those numbers? A friend of mine mention something about an after market product that adds 8 more gears and should help. Is this true? Any other suggestion?

Improving gas mileage
There are plenty of aftermarket "bolt-ons" for the V-10, but the gains in mileage are minimal. A high flow air filter and free flowing exhaust may add 1 more mile per gallon (mine added .8 per gallon) And a new chip could add between 1-2 miles per gallon. You can always buy more gas, but you can't buy power when you really need it.
