im gettn some 33 12 50s for my bronco with my 4 inch pro comp lift and i would like to know "out of theses 2 tires" what one to get ether super swamper truxus sts or bfg all terrains i go off roadn mostly in sand but i do often go mudn but it really isnt that deep
Havent seen a lot of those sts out there but hey look pretty good I would think by the way the tread pattern is on those sts they will last just as long as the bfg's.
I have no experience with the swampers, but I can tell you about the BFG All-terrains. They are great "go anywhere" tires until you hit the real sloppy mud. I haven't got mine stuck yet, but things sure do slow down to a crawl in the nasty mud. Go with something more aggressive if you are at all worried about the mud.
Side note - I'm so happy with my BFG ATs, I will never switch to anything else.
BFG's wont bury you in dry sand like the swampers will. If you need more in the mud you can always cut them a little if you wanted and not lose anything on wet pavement.
The "Swampers" the original poster was asking about are the Trxus STS not the TSL's. The STS's are reported to be pretty good in the sand, but not very good for any serious mud.
Personally I'd go for the bfg's. I like form and function. The bfg are good for probably 95% of what most people need an on/offroad tire for. They get decent mileage out of them and if 85351ho is correct the softer tread on the sts's will wear relatively quick. Another advantage to the bfg's is that they are available everywhere. Can do a lot more shopping around if price is a concern to you. Since you are going for an a/t tire I am assuming you don't do a lot of serious wheeling so it basically comes down to personal preference. I don't care for the look of the sts so that would turn me off immediately. I am very simple in my tastes and think the sts's are a little too gaudy. The clean, simple lines of the bfg really accentuate the look of any truck (if that is what you want).
Just my highly biased (prefer radial) opinion.

id have to agree, their road manners are very similar to the at's, with just a hair bit more noise, and they dont wear quite as long, but off road the m/t spanks the a/t everywhere
ive ran m/ts on my last two daily drivers and they r great
4wheelparts has a 4 for price of 3 sale till end of march on pro-comps. Supposedly made by cooper. From what I've seen and read, they are pretty good and not too spendy when they are on sale like they are now.
Guys here in vegas are pretty good. I've not dealt with the rest. So far they seem to be pretty decent, but I haven't had to take anything back, or make them pay up on the road hazard yet.
