Found a good deal on borla muffler, been thinking abut a 70 series big block flowmaster. I have heard borla on cars but not on v10. Has anyone heard both which one sounds better. I am not looking for v8 sound just something a little more aggressive than stock, not loud.
Not sure about the flowmaster but my X came with a borla on in and it doesn't sound very good at all. I had a Gibson on my old Yukon and it sounded awesome. I would look into Gibson for sure! They sound deep and tough but not obnoxiously loud.
Everyone that has had the gibson on a V-10 seems pretty unhappy, say they are as quiet as stock, some even say they rust out quick (aluminized) I have heard Borla on other vehicals and they sounded good to say the least, but that doesn't mean that it would sound good on a V-10. The 70 series seems to be the way to go on these trucks, still seems a little to quiet for me, the perfect muffler must be out there, just don't know if I will ever find it.......
Yeah, somewhere on here I read that magna flow is supposed to be pretty throaty but I've never heard one. I do realize that comparing a V8 and V10 isn't really, well... appples to apples, but I do know that I don't like the sound of the borla... from inside the truck at least.
I have also heard that the Magnaflow is the way to go, anybody had both a Flowmaster and a Magnaflow? Is the Magnaflow deeper then a 70 or 40 series? I'm guessing sound wise it's in between? Any thoughts???
