351m/400 header question

351m/400 header question

Will a header for a 77-79 F150 4x4 with a 351m/400 fit in a 75 F150 2wd with a 400? My buddy has a 1975 Ford F150 2wd and is in the process of dumping a 400 in it. He has found a set of headers for it locally that are for a 4x4 and was wondering if they would fit? Has anyone ever tried this?

I suspect the 4x4 wont interchange. You could check by looking up set numbers for each application and see if they have the same number.

sorry to get off topic but what oil pan does his 2wd f-150 have, front, mid or rear sump, and if its rear where does the dipstick enter the block or pan at. thanks
