I know you can buy a factory reman from either IH or Ford. But, I'm not too sure about NEW.

Not sure where it came from, but I just got a reman motor for mine. The papers that came with the motor stated it was a 1996 7.3 block. This kinda made me wonder since Ford quit using the 7.3 IDI in 94.

unless the power stroke block is the same and evrything else that bolts to it is diffrent. Ima not saying this is true just thinking outloud here.
