Is Ford going to bring the super crew Ranger to the US? If they do I know a BUNCH of people who would buy one. I WOULD!!!

There is a super crew Ranger already available... Ford calls it the Explorer Sport Trac, and as long as it's around, you can forget about a "Ranger" badged crew cab anytime soon...

All I really want from overseas is one of those 4 banger turbo diesel rangers, anyway...

I agree.

The Sport Trac sells, like it or not (I like em), and it's already on a 4x4 Ranger frame.

Too bad S/T's only come with 4.0L and 5-speed slushie!

It's listed as 2.8L, direct injection inline 4, with intercooler, cranking out 135HP. Torque was listed as 1000, with no unit given, so I'm gonna assumed it was "n-m" (Newton meters for all you non-mathematically inclined people...), but that comes out to 737 lb-ft, so I don't think that's right, either... But anyway, 135HP diesel would make some good torque for a truck that small... The overseas model is way better looking in my opinion, too...

Here is Ford's South Africa website, one of the few overseas ones that is in english...

http://www.ford.co.za/

Funny, this one lists the diesel as a 2.5L, not the 2.8L I found last night... Of course, the 2.8L one was from Taiwan, too...
