lower gears

Hey everyone I'll try posting this over here too. I have stock 3.55GR and running 285/75/16 tires, which is close to 33's. The stock tire was 255/70/16 about 30" tires, due to the difference in tires would it be worth it to re-gear or would this difference cause a problem w/ tranny down the road. I do pull a TT. The truck does great pulling, but I have lost a little low end The biggest thing is I don't want to tamper w/ warranty on the diff. but on the other hand , don't want to damage tranny. Any input on this appreciated Thanx Rich

P.S. I do have the factory tow package .

Thanx for the reply JeremyH, I think I will benefit w/ the re- gear, but if I don't my concern would be the tranny??

Your transmission will have to work a little harder, but there are plenty of vehicles out there that run larger tires and stock gearing and their tranny's hold up. I wouldnt be too worried unless you are getting up there in tire size and are really revving the engine to get it moving.
