Any other 534 owners?
'77 FMC Fire Engine with 534SD
Hello Gentlemen,
About 6 years ago I acquired a 1977 Ford Fire Engine with a 534SD in it. It remarkably only has 5k miles on it - was #2 engine for the volunteer fire dept of a small town. Due to a personal illness, the truck sat in a field unused for almost 5 years. Two weeks ago, I was able to get her running. Rats had eaten distributor wires. clutch and air hoses and nested inside of the air filter cowling. Snake skins throughout. What a mess. Eventually I got her running and wow,...impressed. She's running pretty smoothly after sitting so long.
I have enjoyed reading the entries on this site; some very knowledgeable people and entries. Currently my primary question is, does anyone know where I can get my hands on a service manual for the 534SD?
Thanks for your time,
-Kurt
