roof marker lights???
I have roof marker lights on my 1980 F-150 4x4. The previous owner had them hooked to a switch and removed the switch prior to selling it to me because he didnt like the way he had it rigged and didnt want any problems on the way home. So Yesterday I ran the wire hanging down for the lights, to the parking light wire. and it worked. everything worked great. It was perfect. Then I was cruising around today with my buddies at night and all of a sudden I lost all interior lights except my kenwood cd player and cb radio. My roof lights quit working, no taillights, headlights kinda just kept blinking on and off. brake lights, turn signals, and emergency flashers still worked. I got home with my flashers on and my buddy following me and checked all the fuses and they were ok. Got out and cut the wire for the roof marker lights that i spliced into the parking lights. Everything came back and worked fine except for the roof lights of course. So what was wrong, and how do I fix it. If running a switch is a better idea. How do I go about doing it? Those roof lights just look to cool!
