84 fogging it up!

Hi, it started yesterday when the truck heats up, it's blowing fog out the vents. I'm assuming it my heater core?

I can't find my hayes manual, but can someone point in the right direction.

1. how many bolts and where?

I have already remove one, it's on the top firewall beside the fender, I had to remove the fan to put a wrench on the nut inside!

THANKS for any help! also anyone with some pics?

With a\c its just a couple of bolts behind the glovebox. Without a\c you need to remove the entire heater box. There are many threads on this subject . Good luck

Pull the glove box, then it's 3 nuts, one at the bottom of the heater plenum, 2 at the top(I think... been a couple weeks since I did mine)

well got the new one in...pain in the butt, it seems to ok now!

here are some instructions!

remove the glove compartment. there is 1 nut behind it and 2 that holds the heater vent(big black box)

now under the hood, there is only 1 bolt and 1 long screw..the screw is at the bottom right side. the bolt you have to remove the fan(3 screws) and place a 7/16 wrench in the bolt that is at the top right.

once the heater box is removed, there is like 10 screws all around the top, then remove the top part and voila!

THANKS FOR ALL YOUR HELP!

You just saved yourself $150 labor (in my area) for that job. Good post for others to see as well!
