Does anyone know of a website similar to kelly blue book, but for firearms? My father wants to know about how much one of his shotguns is worth. We live in a fairly rural town, and I'm pretty sure there is no one around here that does this sort of thing...
About the shotgun...I've never seen another one like it(but I haven't looked either). I want to say it's a Winchester(not positive) bolt action 12ga.(am pos. about these). I'd guess it was produced in the 40's or 50's. He inherited it from a first cousin when he(dad) was a teenager. The cousin had shot and killed hisself with it while climbing over a fence...
Thanks for any info!

Finally got around to creating a gallery...check it out
I am not familiar with any sites that would help you out. I do however have the Blue Book of Gun Values.
A bolt action 12 gauge sounds like a Marlin/Sears. They where made in early sixties and I think maybe late 50's. They had a plain jane stock with a detachable magazine that held 2 rounds.
I am not familiar with Winchester making a bolt action shotgun.
Values for bolt action shotguns are usually low.
If you have more info on it, email me and I would be happy to try and trace it down.
I guess you could say I'm more of a shooter than a collector, but yeah, I've got an addiction to firearms that goes WAY back! lol. I just wish I had the $$$ to buy as many as I want!!

I also have a addiction and have a dilema every time a gun show comes to town buy gun parts/gun or truck parts I collect military weapons (all years)love enfields
Cool, I have a few nice older guns as well. I have to say I am a want to be collector and a shooter as well. I have an 1889 32-20 Win that was my grandfather's. That was the first gun I shot a deer with and will be the first one my daughter shoots one with. Kind of cool to pass something like that on as long as they don't sell them.
I have a Mossberg .22 semi automatic rifle and can not find anything out about this one. Everyone tells me that Mossberg only made shotguns. Anybody out there got one?
