Efi I6 Idle Speed

Efi I6 Idle Speed
'88 F-150 300ci EFI.
As some may know, I have had a problem getting my truck to idle correctly. It has been, for the most part, idling at 1600 rpm.
Well, I cleaned the IAC thingy, and that brought the idle down to 1400 rpm. when I unpluged it, nothing happend. When I removed the 1st part of the IAC, it idled down to 1100 rpm. Thats much better, so I put tape over it and have left it that way. QUESTION: What shoud this truck be idleing at? (It has a 5-speed trans)
