Swaybar question

I checked around and can't find the rear swaybar diameter. I have 01 EB Expy 4x4. I found a great deal on Energy Suspension swaybar bushings and need to know the OD. Any help would be appreciated.

I think they are 1" but not 100% certain. You can measure the circumference and divide by Pi (3.1416) to get the diameter of the bar.

I suggest you buy or go to a parts shop or mechanic and borrow a micrometer or caliper to get an accurate measurement. Being 1 or 2 mm off can make a huge difference in performance and ease of installation. During the same model year suppliers or specs are sometimes changed so you can't tell for sure what you have unless you measure it.

I really like the firmer handling the ES bushings gave my Expy.

Thanks for the info about the improvement. I have been using their bushings for some time and have always enjoyed the outcome. My only worry was the effect on a vehicle this size.

If you've got $130 burning a hole in your pocket, try a Hellwig replacement bar. Try a search, many swear by this upgrade.

Maybe in the future. I am trying to just stiffen the ride up a little bit. I am mainly concentrating on the brakes right now. Thanks for the tip though.

New shocks will do this faster than anything else.
