Blue Headlights

Are blue headlights irritating to everyone or is it just me? I think they're worse than someone with their brights on.

Same here. A friend wanted to sell me a set at his parts store for $30. I said I'd rather have a set of dice hanging from my mirror.

I did get the Sylvania Whites, though. Nice, crisp lights.

I hate the blue white HIDs. I always want to flash my highbeams because at first I think they have their high beams on
If we were to use blue white light for driving we would have been born under a blue white star.

Yea - but, I'm as ugly as can be and you're....you're, well, a female. Beauty covers things like wool steering wheels and leopard skinned things.
Ugly makes 'em stick out like a sore thumb.

Whew, I'm glad I'm not the only one that hates them. I thought if I said that people would be out to get me.

To me, all they do is give a cop a reason to give you a little longer look as you drive by. This may not be good if, say, you are in a line of cars all going 40MPH in a 35MHP zone.

I had a vitrectomy, which is a "flush and fill" Due to diabetic complications I had leaky blood vessels in my eyes and was blind for three months until the surgery. They took out the "jelly" like substance that is in there and replaced it with a silicone based substance.

The only thing worse than those blue lights is the drivers that have them, thinking they have the right to BLIND all oncoming traffic just so THEY can see a little further down the road. Just the kind of selfish attitude I'd expect from the typical Lexus/ Acura/ BMW driver.

The fake blue lights are generally illegal in the US. the reason is that the fake blue lights have the wrong color spectrum which decreases visibility for the driver. The fake blue hurts the oncoming drivers eyes but they do not light up the road in the correct colors for the driver to see as far as required by law. So they have a double negative benefit, blind oncoming driver and inadequate lbight for the driver of the blue light car.

The HID are supposed to be very good, but I also find them irritating to my eyes but not as bad as the fake ones. The real HID are one of the more popular stolen items in car thefts. I think they cost something like $1K-$2K each so theft pays off.

From what I have read,

Jim Henderson
