79 Appearance Question

Hey, My 79 4x4 is Silver in color, so i was thinking about painting the chrome front bezel of my truck black, as well as the grill.. My rims are black so i really have nothing else chrome on the truck. Has anyone done this yet or have pics they could post? Thanks

i dont really dig the totally monochrome thing, thought that went out in the 80s. in my opinion, they just need that little bit of chrome on the front end. not my cup of beans, but maybe yours.

I blacked out one of my old 79's eveything that was chrome became black and I loved it. If I ever get one thats just a beater than I would do it again with a snow camo paint job.

Copy a pic of your truck (or a similar one) to a paint program and color the grill black. It will give you an idea of what it'll look like...

Ford painted a few grills black from the factory, to go with the special body trim called the Freewheelin package .

So .....go for it..... Ford did .

Thanks for the pic of the black grill.. The thing im debating in painting the chrome trim around the grill black.
