air bag light coming on

Watch the air bag light when you first start the truck. It will flash a code. If its 2-7, its the pass. on/off switch indicator lamp. If it is replace the switch.

A Light Flash Code 54 means an intermittant problem with an airbag sensor. The best thing to do would be to take it to your dealer and get the system scanned for trouble codes to point you in the right direction. There are a couple different problems that can cause the LFC 54.
You can try removing a battery terminal for 10 minutes and see if the code clears itself. Then if it comes back you know for sure that you have a problem.
