Hello I have a 1986 f-250 4x4 with a 351 in it and it will hardly has enough power to pull its own weight. could this be a carb or fuel filter problem and whatcould be done to fix it?? I could not find a filter on the truck or in the manual so i don't know if i am blind or dumb or both but any help is appreciated, This truck has to be used everyday so any helpful ideas are appreciated?? Thanks.
The fuel filter is on the carb the gas line threads into it front of carb Its hard to say if that is your problem without knowing some other things like does it die out when you step on it,does it ping, hard starting, this kinda stuff.
Most catalytic converter robs power big time when it is clogged. If it is has an O2 sensor, there you can use a back pressure gauge and you just screw that in the O2 sensor thread to test for the back pressure.
yes and i have a question about my exhaust which is the cat. Theres a little rectangle and then another thing and then the muffler which is hangin on by a thread and has a huge as piece off of it leaving it wide open.
