Hello,
I work for a new company that we started up a year ago, we purchased a F800 and about 5 months ago one of the fuel injection lines came loose and started a fire. There wasn't much damage it was put out very quickly, but it burned the wire harness/melted some of the wires. Now for the problem, the truck does not have the 5.9 Cummins that the truck came out with, it has a Cummins ISB-217 Motor in it. We have tried just about all routes and having a problem matching up to get a wire harness, Cummins has the wire harness we need for the motor, but Ford needs a vin # to cross-reference to with an ISB in it stock. When would be the best place to try and find this information?
The vin should be on the door jamb, just like all the pick-ups are. There should be a sticker that has the axle weight's, GVW, etc, and the vin should be on the very top of that decal.
