Theoretical Engine Combination

OK, "What If" time. What if.........
I took a Motorsport Block to 4.600 inches,
A 3.59 inch stroke Crank
7.1 inch rods
15:1 Compression
298*, 298* adv., 244*, 244*@.050 .588, .588 Hydraulic cam
Anti Pump-Up Hydraulic lifters
Kaase SCJ heads
Windage Tray
Roller Rockers(1.73)
Comp Cams Conical Beehive Springs(Titanium Retainers
Titanium Valves
Double Roller Timing Chain

Well, You get the picture. Could someone who has Desktop Dyno kindly run this setup for me. I would greatly appreciate it. TIA

Why the short stroke? You give up a ton of HP and TQ. Scatt 4.3" crank is $450

Why 15:1? Even with the Kasse head your pushing it I would think. Nothing but the most expensive race fuel. 13.5 would be better and let you run cheaper fuels like cam2 or turbo blue.

With a small cam like this, you dont really need to worry about titanium retainers. Run titanium when you are using a big lift and fast ramp...not a slow lobe and low lift. Its just wasting cash.

Titanium valves.....read above. Thats an odd combination. I would use those heads and bore that block to 4.5", use a hyd roller for sub 6500 RPM use, a 4.3 or 4.5 scat crank, a set of manley H-beams and for cam specs.....I would stay were you are for a street engine. For a all out race use I would do the cam as a .750 lift and 280 duration at .050 minimum. Rethink some of that and try agian.

OK, sorry, but the bore should be 4.500, missed a key. I change the cam to a Solid .640, .666, 260*, 270*@.050, 295*, 305* adv.
I like the compression just the way it is, and the titanium retainers and valves are for reduced rotating mass. The reason for the short stroke, big bore combo is to keep the combo under 470 cubes, the limit for the big block EM Challenge. I just want someone with Desktop Dyno to run the combo, with the revisions, and post them here, if it is not to much trouble.

I think the 3.59 stoke will be to short for your piston to get to TDC. I'm building a 467ci(468ci limit) 7.1 rod motor and had to have the crank offset ground to 3.8 stroke and they will be about .005 out of the hole. For it to really work you may have to go smaller on the bore and add some stroke. But it all depends on the pin height of your pistons.

10.3-7.1=3.2

3.2-1.795=1.405

1.405 inch Comp. Ht. = 0 deck

OK, scrap the Bullets. Hooker 3 inch Max Flows. Also, Stainless, back cut Ferrea valves, not titaniums.

I appreciate it greatly. Could you email me the dyno sim. sheet? I just want to look over it completely, if it's possible. Thank you again.

Yea. I tried when I posted the numbers but I'll have to print and scan it and can't get scanner to work. I'll try again tomorrow. The torque and horsepower curve are REAL good from about 4,000-7,000.

Was this with 92 octane fuel? If not, no big deal. I really thank you for the help.

With 15:1 compression? You're kidding, right?
