50's seat size question

Can anyone tell me how many inches across the seat is in a 50-something ford truck? I am thinking about selling my 54 sedan and getting a pickup, but I need to fit the wife and kid in there once in a while.

I used to fit 4 in a '50 but was tight and we were in our teens. They began to get wider in the mid 50's I think.

The 53-56 is about six inches wider than the 48-52. My 48 is 53 1/2 inches door to door...
