f350 4x4 ???

Is a non-slip differential needed with 4wd. I farm, in and out of fields, greasy soils and was wondering if the option is actually a good value? Just joined here, hope im doing this right.

Seems like a lot of guys bad mouth the limited slip, but I've been happy with mine so far with 8000 miles. I've also had Ford LS on 2 previous trucks with up to 60,000 miles and it still worked great. My experience is that it's a definite traction aid and a requirement for 2 wheel drive trucks.
