just got it i put a whole 108 miles on her. Man what a great truck. only one real dislike is the lack of ft. thigh support and arm rest on the captains chairs. have not got on it at all and wont for a few miles. the truck pulls like mad . I orderd my truck and got it in 7 weeks. F-350 single wheel, 430 gears, auto, leather, lariat, manual select 4x4, camper package, FX-4 V-10!!!!!!WOW what a truck!!!! I dumped an 01 tundra i mean junkdra 4x4 lost money on those 21/2 years but i got smart. I have a few mods to do , not many but some. Gas milage sucks already but one should not expect any better from a truck this heavy and large. I read here someplace if you can aford the thing you can aford the gas. [maybe] i'll live with it like the rest of us V-10ERS!!!!
Congratulations on your new truck. I must say you have good taste in how your configured it.
I have about 1100 miles on mine now and the mileage has steadily improved since I drove it off the lot. Averaging right around 12 now, which I am happy with, given the cold weather. I don't plan to drive this truck a ton of miles each year, so I don't even feel environmentally irresponsible, either.
I also agree with the lack of thigh support, but I partially compensated for that by jacking up the front of the seat. That has actually helped a lot.
What sort of mileage did you get with your junkdra?
Thank you. i'm still on my 1st tank and the V-10 gets 8.7 on the overhead computer. The junkdra got 12!! no better in the city. No pull at all. Went to NM.last fall in it to hunt elk (no luck) we got 11 pulling a 16 foot flatbed and an atv.It worked it's heart out trying to make over the hills. I got passed by dudes on bicycles (haha) but really that 4.7 v-8 has no guts..Now in 4x4 it was a champ being so lite it went through some real soup with no problems. I had mtr good for a year tires on it .They didn't wear well on the road and with that truck it would hydroplane BAD.Don't know what tires i'll put on the V10 yet.I'm going to do my homework to get the best tire. I know my m.p.g. will get better as the miles are put on it , but i'm not realy going to worrie to much about it with this much truck what can you expect.
Congrats on the new truck! As you'll find out, V10 Superduties are top-notch tow machines!
Mine just turned 22,000 and I'm getting 11/12mpg mixed driving, 13/14 highway & 9/10 towing with 3.73 axle. About what you expect out of a gas pickup weighing 6700+ lbs. The only major thing I added to it was a set of 285 all-terrains and a few functional items.
Going from a Tundra to a Superduty is like trading in a PT boat for a heavy cruiser!

My V10 started saying 8.5 on the overhead computer. Now it is up to 11.8 (after 6-7 fill ups), which I think is a lot closer to reality. The first time I filled it up, I got about 10.6 for the tank. You're right, it's a big truck with a big engine, so it's never going to sip gas, but you do want to know it is in the right range (I was a little worried when it started at 8).
Are you going to change tire sizes? If you stay with the 265/75-16 size there are lots of choices. The stock tires (Rugged Trail T/A) don't seem too bad. On tirerack.com the seem to like Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revos a lot. Please let us know what you decide.
