i have a 63 model and my legs are crammed up under my chin, well not quite that bad,but it`s close.i`m 6'3'' and i was just wondering if the legroom improved on any of the later models.
I'm sorry but you are just too tall for that truck. I'm in Oklahoma I will be happy to relieve you of it. I will come get it from you and I will only charge you for my time and gas. (just joking) I'm only 6 ft tall and its not much better in my 65. I had a 64 and it was better with the stock bench seat than this truck. But the previous owner put in some funky buckets with ugly spacers so Im right on the steering wheel plus Im not even sitting square. I sit off to the left of the wheel. So one day soon I will have to find a good bench preferably one from a mid 80's with a fold down armrest so I can have some place to sit a drink and hide my cell and cds.
the 65-66 trucks have more legroom than the previous years. To gain more legroom, I installed a seat from a 86 F150. The seat back is a firm foam that is much thinner than the stock seat. It will bolt in if you use your stock slider tracks.
In 65 the steering column went through the fire wall, if im not mistaken. Im not sure if that would give more leg room. I also like your idea FERacing66, by moving the gas tank.
