I have an 86 F150 with the I6 and about 111,000 miles. I am looking to replace my shocks and since Rancho shocks is having a buy 3 get the 4th free, i figured these would be awesome. The problem is that I have 6 shocks (4 front). Should I replace only the front four, or two in front and two in rear? Also, what are some of the benefits of having dual front shocks?
Thanks
Andrew
Well, I guess you could buy two sets. It would be like buying all 6 shocks and getting two extra for free. Problem is, front and back are different. Dual shocks I guess could support more weight.
I've got rancho's on my 86 and I like them. They are pretty old but still good. I failed inspection last year for shocks, but I put some new $5 bushings in the bottom front mounts and it passed. The shocks themselves are still fine. White paint and red boots are even holding up good!
