pcv valve location

it is a 4.0 SOHC, I found it behind the drivers side valve cover next to the firewall.
it is a strange looking thing, it has a water jacket with the engine coolant running through it!!!
Anyway I replaced it and my PO171 and PO174 messages went away!!!
Now I have a PO300 message, ( multiple engine misfire ) I suspect that running the engine in a lean condition for the last couple of weeks on plugs that already had 84,000 miles on them has probably done them in.......
I am going to change the plugs tomorrow and see if the problem goes away...
