When I first start out on a trip and hit my brakes....it pulls to the left....no power or anything....now, I think it must be leaking fluid somewhere....but I am not an expert mechanic....only driver.
Need a little help here....put wheel cylinders and new brakes on some time ago, but the truck has not been driven that much...and besides, just cause they are new....is no sign they aren't bad...right?
When it pulls to the right, that indicates the right brake is doing most of the work.
that leaves two options,
1, oil or grease contamination of the right brake causing it to grab and pull to the right or,
2, contamination or other problems in the left brake limiting its braking ability allowing a pull to the right, such as oiled brake lining, frozen wheel cylinder and misadjusted brake
I am assuming you have drum brakes on this vehicle, if you have disk brakes, look for a frozen caliper or a collapsed brake hose. (on the left). FSC
