Question battery/electrical issues

ive been having some problems with my truck this past week. its a 92 f150 xlt 4x4 351w. last sunday i had to replace 3 hoses due to leaking coolant. then monday night my truck broke down and i had to get a ride home from work. we were positive its the battery or alternator. so on tuesday we replaced the alternator because it turns out the "core depot" was broke and the truck ran fine. then last night i was coming home from work and noticed all my lights were dimming really bad, and i started losing power equipment such as turn signals, radio, speedometer..and right as i got to my house it stalled and the battery was dead. so first thing this morning i went and bought a new battery, got it all hooked up and then put it on a charger for a few hours, the gauge on the charger now says the battery is fully charged but the volt gauge on my truck says its still under the normal range.

is there something else that can be wrong? or should i just not worry about it?

i hate having to worry about if my trucks not gonna get me where i need to go and that ill get stranded somewhere. ive already spent $230 this week on parts.

thanks for the help.

Have you changed the Big plug (4wire) going to the diode pack/rectifier?

Most rebuilts/ new alternators will recommend this as the plug becomes heat brittled and corroded/gunked up with Brush filings.

Sounds like your alternator is trying to push max amps out and is not getting it done due to bad terminals.

Change the connector (about $5-6).

Just did the same on mine. Put in a new diode pack/rectifier and a voltage regulator. The lower connector was fried. So replaced that too. Now putting out 87amps and 15.4V.
