Exclamation 1996 e250 van belt separates\breaks in half

The belt breaks in half falls away and the rest stays on to run the pulleys!!
Hello all, I'm hoping to hear from someone who may have this same problem. I've replaced the serpentine belt twice and the same thing happens. I even gave up and had a local mechanic that knew all about the vehicle, do it. Still happens. Please post anything that you feel may be enlightening for others!!

sounds like one of the pulleys is out of allignment or has a sharp burr. check all the pulleys with the belt off. in my experience it's usually the power steering pump that causes the most problems when the bearing goes bad. check all the other bearings as well.

Thanks, i will tear it down and inspect it well. Thanks for the tips everyone!! I figured it had to do with alignment or failure to align of some type. This forum is excellent.
