Since your truck is 2wd, you may choose to stick away from the really crazy offroad spots.

More importantly, how much time do you want to be gone for?

It's a good time to head South, the weather is warming up. 65 and sunny here today. Ever cruised the Blue Ridge Pkwy? It runs from Va to NC, great ride, Then head to Florida and hit some of the beaches. That's my suggestion for what it's worth.--Jack

This time of year its hard to beat going south.

If it were summer, then west would be the direction towards the Rockies

Hey, if you want significantly below freezing temperatures, you can always come to Canada! (last night it was -36C)

I was in Niagara Falls last July. I drove there straight from Winnipeg. I had a blast It's a very touristy place (around the falls), but beautiful nonetheless. I hope to go back there in a year or two. The wifey loved the rainforrest cafe.

Come to Iowa. It's really fun here. You can watch the corn and beans grow, smell the wonderful hog farms, follow slow tractors on busy, narrow roads, too many more to mention. GOOD TIMES!!
