The inventor Arthur Davidson, of the Harley Davidson Motorcycle Corporation, died and went to heaven.

At the gates, St. Peter told Arthur, "Since you've been such a good man and your motorcycles have changed the world, your reward is, you can hang out with anyone you want in Heaven.

"Arthur thought about it for a minute and then said, "I want to hang out with God."

St. Peter took Arthur to the Throne Room, and introduced him to God. Arthur then asked God, "Hey, aren't you the inventor of woman?"

God said, "Ah, yes."

"Well," said Arthur, "professional to professional, you have some major design flaws in your invention.

1. There's too much inconsistency in the front-end protrusion.
2. It chatters constantly at high speeds.
3. Most of the rear ends are too soft and wobble too much.
4. The intake is placed way too close to the exhaust. And finally,
5. The maintenance costs are outrageous.

"Hmmmm, you may have some good points there," replied God, "hold on." God went to his Celestial super computer, typed in a few words and waited for the results. The computer printed out a slip of paper and God read it.

"Well, it may be true that my invention is flawed," God said to Arthur, "but according to these numbers, more men are riding my invention than yours".

THE LITTLE SCRAWNEY GUYS REPLIES: "OH, ABOUT 2 MINUTES AGO !"

I do not ever yell, it does no good and my voice will suffer later. Besides, anyone who owns a 51 F-3, and out dates it, may have to speak a little louder, and strain a little more to see, at this point in time. Thank you Monsta. The old girl runs like a top. I go places with her and people tell me she sounds better than all of the newer trucks they they know. I am proud of my 51 F-3, she runs better than I do. She also runs in CAPITALS, and has an excellet muffler system.
I do understand what these folks on the computers are saying but I sure don't understand why CAPITALS are yelling since this is a silent forum. Perhap we are dealing with the hearing impaired in which case I fully understand!!!!!!! Otherwise send in the CAPITAL police. MK:-X23

 

Time for a history lesson, on ALL CAPITAL POSTING...
There was a time, many many years ago, when the public
internet didn't exist, it was all just BBS and a few
Universities sharing information through the phone lines,
most of the messages were sent in lower case only, with
no punctuation what so ever. Then Business got into
the game, and used the UNIX system, where the logons were
case sensitive, you had to logon in upper case, so some
people would forget to hit the Caps Lock to return to
lower case, and it became "normal" to post in all Caps,
but then came the usenet, where proper "use" of the
english became the norm, and you wrote messages as you
would talk. so today, all Caps is a bad Idea, as it says
you're shouting, or that you're hostile towards anyone
else reading your post, because when you're shouting
you can hear (see) what others are saying.

I know I can read lower case a lot faster than upper case. Reading upper case is too busy. Just give me the basics and I'm fine. If your having trouble seeing what your posting I would offer that maybe you need to change the size of your font on your computer.

It is all a matter of preferences and in this forum, lower case is best. But your post are well taken.

 

Upper case, lower case or no punctuation at all doesn't really bother my reading speed. What I do find a little annoying after awhile are sig files that totally fill the screen and then some. I guess everyone has a different tolerance level.

 

I think I'll stay out of this one, except to say that of the things which seperate us from the animal kingdom are the simple facts that we use:

That was a nice history lesson on the predecessor to the net.
When I first started typing, I used all cap's because I was too slow and made too many mistakes when I tried to do it right.

You know your day's gonna go real bad when your Horn sticks, and in front of you is a gang of Hell's Angles!
