crash test

I saw crash test on the Dodge,Chevy, and Ford full size trucks on t.v. last night. Only 5mph. and over $2000 in damage to each one! The Ford was an F 150. I hope I don't hit anything front on with my F350 super duty! Comments?

Yep, they are junk, just grab one and you can tell. They're there for looks only. Just the bumpers themselves are like $200 a piece and that doesn't include any of the plastic pieces on them

They are good for carrying heavy loads and towing, but that's it. The rest has alot to be desired are far as durability goes. Not that I'm sticking up for Chevy, but my father had a 1980 Chevy C20 van with bumpers that were more the twice as thick as the new superduties. You would need a 16# sledge hammer to dent them, swinging as hard as you could. I wish our trucks had bumpers like that.
