tranny type??
I have a 96 Ranger 3.0 4x4. Am looking to find a remanufactured tranny..however, which transmission does this thing have? I am unable to find out which tranny to even search for? I thought i read that you can isolate which tranny you have through your VIN#'s anyone know how to do this? Thanks

Is it 5 spd or auto? I know the F series you can find out the tranny code and know exactly what you have. Call your Ford dealer and have them put in the VIN and see if they can tell you what tranny you have.
