Error Code 33

My truck was getting a error code 33 (EGR Valve not opening) Changed the EGR Valve and sensor.I erased the codes . The truck is still hesitating when it gets warmed up at around 35 MPH. Ipulled the codes again and am still getting a code 33. Any Ideas?

It could be the vacuum line going to the egr valve, or it could be the evr valve. The evr is the valve that allows vacuum to go to the egr valve. (It is on the other end of the green vacuum line that connects to the egr valve.) The Haynes manual has a good procedure for diagnosing this.

Thanks For the reply, I just pulled the codes again now I am getting a error code 32 EVP voltade below closed limit. Any ideas

The EVP is the sensor on top of your EGR valve. You might try putting the old one back on and clearing the codes. Drive it for a while and check the codes again.

Spray throttle body cleaner down the tubes. Had code 33 on my wifes explorer and the same thing happened changed it and the darn code kept coming back. i sprayed the tubes and the light came on once then never again.(sound of knocking on wood)
