how much tint do you have??

On my 92 (/c) i had 5% in rear (limo tint) and 35% on front doors
I plan on taking my current truck (99 c/c) in and getting 5% in rear and 18% front.
Who what tints out there?

Just enough to make the front and back even. The rear already had privacy tint.

I had them make it as dark as legal on the front windows and put an extra layer of 20 on the rear.

I put 20% over my rear privacy glass, 5% over my extended cab windows, and 20% on the driver/passenger windows. Don't know what's legal - but I haven't gotten stopped for it yet!!

If you can get away with it, a fat strip across the top of the windshield is really nice for cutting down interior light and it makes your windows look darker. I think I have 15 or 20% tint all the way around.

I have 10% film on all the windows except the windshield. Using a tint meter, the rear with the 10% on the factory tint measures 3%. The front doors measure 9%. The factory tint by itself is 35% on the tint meter.

I would have gotten darker on the front, but 10% is the darkest tint that is metallic. The 5% tint is polyester only and eventually turns purple.

I have factory tint currently. I am going to tint the front windows with 35% so that it will stay legal.

35% is legal here in MA, but if you have 35% installed it will fail a roadside test because the windows have a 2 or 3% tint from the factory. It's insane. I'm thinking of doing my cab windows 20% to match the extended cab windows, but worry about visibility when plowing.

I just had the front two windows done on my CC. I have the factory privacy glass, and I told them to match up the front. The shop used 15%. IMO Looks really good, not too dark, and that keeps the cops from messing with me. I'll post pics of the windows later.
