Nerf Bar Question

My son recently purchased a 2001 Chevy extended cab pick up which has chrome "nerf bar" style steps on it, and he is taking them off. Since my 99 extended cab Powerstroke is lifted and on 35's, my wife has been wanting me to add steps. Does anyone know if the the ones from my sons Chevy will fit?

Thanks!

When he takes them off his truck have him help you eye up the mounting plates and see if they will fit flush against the curve of the ford frame, after that just drill holes. I would think that they won't fit because the chevy frames are wider in the front for the IFS and taper to a narrower width under the door.

Yea if he's taking them off anyway - you'll just have to hold them up under there and try them. Some don't mount to the frame but to the body - you'll just have to see when you hold them up. I've gotta believe you could make them work even if you have to get a little bracket made or something.
