I was looking into designing a tone wheel that would mount to the yoke of a 9 inch and this will affect the number of pulses per rev.
So I was wondering exactly what the system is looking for in terms of pulses and any other signal related things. I am no electrical expert.
Things may change a bit since a some one on this site welded a tone wheel inside of his 9 inch so there maybe more room inside the 9 inch than I thought for a tone wheel. Maybe I can make a tone wheel that will bolt inside of the 9 inch and make things easy for everyone. thanks bob
the existing speed sensor on the 92-96 pickups essentially shorts its output lead to the cluster/ECM to ground with every pulse. The cluster provides a pullup resistor so this sensor can create negative edge pulses that the cluster conditions using the PSOM module, and feeds to the ECM.
I bought a 1994 full size bronco and the speed odmeter did not work so i changed the sensor today and still nothing could you help me out by chance? thankyou for your time
