I would like to find out if the f-250 1997 diesel powerstroke pick-up has a driverside airbag?

It should have a drivers side air bag. When you turn the key on to start, do you see an air bag light on the instrument cluster come on and prove out with the rest of the lights?

97's should cause i know of a 96 that does

The steering wheel should say "SRS". Safety Restraint System. If so you have one.

SRS means "supplemental restraint system"
the air bag being supplemental to the seatbelts.
