i'm looking for the wiring harness for the radio (can be cut of a few inches back the plugs) from a ford ('99 or newer) f150, ranger (or mazda b-series), windstar or escape. i believe there should a square plug and a more rectangle one.
i have a '97 and i see there are lots of stock cd players for sale from 98 on, half way through '98 they change the plugs.
please reply to this message, i'm not sure what the options for this site are to get a hold of members privatly yet
i never knew that radio shack had parts for vehicles, i will definitly check it out
this is though the piece that fits into the radio, not the receptor that you can buy from walmart/car stereo stores/crappy tire (also know as Canadian tire)
i have checked car stereo places and they have said other then cutting one out of a scraped car you would have to order the dash wiring harness from the dealership and cut it off that.

If I were you I'd just find a wiring diagram and completely bypass the stock wiring harness. I eventually did it because the person before me completely messed up the wiring so the speakers would be constantly cutting out. There should only be 11 wires you would have to splice into. The whole process is incredibly easy as long as you have some wire strippers and some wire connectors. If you need to know what wires are what let me know, I can get you the info. Also, I wouldn't bother putting a stock CD player into your truck. It's not worth the money/hassle. Just pick up an aftermarket deck like Pioneer or Sony.
