Knock sensor thread count
I'm going to install an '84 302 into my '87 F150. I am wondering what thread count my current knock sensor is, so I can make sure I have a hole drilled and tapped in the '84 for the sensor. There looks to be a tapped hole there already, but I'm not sure if it is the correct size.
Thanks,
Joel

Autozone.com says it's in the intake manifold, but I've heard others say it's in the block.......... Surely someone out there has changed one that can tell me where it is. It is hard to see back in there.
my 302 had it threaded in the block, but when i did my swap, i tack welded a bolt to the back of the block. most people have left it hang with no problems. dot see why there would be any difference attaching it to the intake either. if it was in the intake that would be going with the swap...lol.. on the newer blocks there was a flat machined place to put it, older blocks was harder and i just tacked a bolt to the side of the web on the back when it was on the stand
