2000 psd supply pump fuel problem
how do you check the electric supply pump in driverside frame? truck died on highway removed fuel filter it was half filled. tried cranking with filter out and fuel level didnt rise. tach shows when cranking it tries to start but sound like its only firing on a couple cyls then stalls

Had same problem last year. I unplug fuel pump connection & hooked up 12 v.straight to pump,also a ground wire. Pump didn't run it just thumped. Repaced pump, turned on ignition switch with engine off new pump ran for 15 sec. then cycled off.Started engine, problem solved.
