Question Exhaust Question

Would the exhaust system from an 02 Excursion be easily modified to work on my 97 Crew Cab. Length wise they both seem about the same. A customer of mine is selling his Excursion and said he'd trade with me for my stock system if I can make it work. I would do the aftermarket system cat-back on my truck then try to piece everything together to go back onto his truck.
Any ideas??

I don't know if "easily modified" would be appropriate, but you could probably make it work. I think the downpipe would be an issue for both vehicles.

Don't you think hamstringing the X with a smaller than stock exhaust is a bit unethical? That's not a modification I would be willing to pay for.

Would it really be worth the trouble for a used exhaust system that might not easily fit? Probably a better idea for your buddy to sell his rig as is, and for you to get the right exhaust for your truck. Just a thought.
