$15.00 fix for fuel pump????
5.0L 93...My fuel pump was louder than crap,whirring sound. The tone changed at idle also. This is the second one. The last one went out at 70K. While driving the other night I got on it... like 90MPH. I parked and the F pump was quieter. The next day I picked a bottle of 44k FI cleaner. I ran it for 4 days on 20 gallons and the F pump has never been this quiet. I am thinking that there was junk built up in the fuel system. I am crossing fingers here.. The previous owner drove ALL city miles. He never wound the motor up. Any thoughts???

You might want to put in a new filter. some of the stuff that was causing the pump to buzz might be getting loose now you have used a cleaner. Regarding the 90mph "clean-out", it won't do much for the pump but should help the motor to be run some(feels good too).
