tilt hood kits

Hey guys, I sure would appreciate any thoughts you have about which tilt hood kit is the best and/or easiest to install on a 56 F100

Hi

I have one from No Limit Engineering. If I had it to do all over again I would have worked harder at trying to make the original style hinges work.

This thing has been a pain in the rear from day one but I am sure others will tell you how easy it was to install and how nice it works.

I think the best thing to do is go to a few shows check out the kits then buy the one that appeals to you, then make it work.

Have fun

Chuck

I still have a brand new No Limit kit leaning up against the wall I bought in '03. It's going in very soon. Could you share your complaints with it so I can hopefully address some of them on my install?

And the grass is always greener. I'm sick of dealing with the stock hinges. Hopefully this will be a major improvement.

Thanks

I'm looking for plans that would assist me in building my own BMW tilt hood. At least get some pictures to assist my project.

I have a friend that makes tilt hood kits from late 80's Buick hinges. He usually takes some to Pigeon Forge to sell but is not going this year since the show has been opened up to all year Ford trucks. So, I can't tell you whether he has made any lately. Look at those Buicks to see if you can figure out how he does it. I know he narrows the cross tube to make it fit.
