fuel Vapor separator!??
Hello guys, well another amazing part. Got an 86 f250 460. I need a fuel vapor separator ( I THINK). I have been having the same problem as alot of people with the stalling out after she gets warmed up. I have rebuilt the carb holley 4180, new floats and right after I put the floats in she ran like she was new but only for about 15 minutes. My friend and I have been trying to eliminate all the possibilities of the problem but to no success for more than 15 minutes. I am really getting frustrated with it. But my question is can I bypass the separator in any way or put another doo-dad there to do the same thing. It is there to feed fuel or vapors or whatever back to the tank. They want 50 bucks for this piece of metal with a screen in it at the dealer, all the part stores act like I am nuts when I ask for the part. Another question is what else should I look for to solve this irritating and costly problem. Costly cause I have to hold the gas down at lights and the old 460 already love the fuel I need not give her any more than I have too. I really appreciate any help!!!
