F-250 CC V-10 4X4 just up and died
I was just driving home last night, approx. 30 mph, and my truck just died, no sputter, no nothing, it just died. the truck would crank just fine, but it was acting like it was not getting any gas. Anyone else have anything like this happen to them? I had the truck towed to the dealer last night, I am going to go over and talk with them today. The truck on has 13,000 miles on it.
thanks

Well, I finally got my truck back late on Friday. I was told that I had a bad "Crank Sensor". I did not get an opportunity to talk to the tech about this to see what a "Crank Sensor" does, but the male receptionist (IQ of a carrot) thought it had to do with the ignition.
Hope it doesn't happen to you.

My long since replace 1993 Dodge Dakota had the same thing. I believe the crake sensor tells the coil when to fire. It knows the position and the speed of the crank, as a result the position of the pistons.
