Warter pump question

Can i us a 302 waterpump on a 351w HO? whe reason i want to use it is so my power steering pump bracket and my alternator braket will bolt on correctly. Will the 302 pump correctly cool my 351w HO?

They should be the same part. They are for the later years.

The only thing you need to be sure of is the correct ROTATION. Don't get a newer REVERSE rotation pump and try to run it with standard V belt. You will have overheating problems.

You can use the online parts store catalogs to check part numbers re applications. You can find out if the 302 part is the same one called out for a 351W. The catalog pages are not really set up to do it quickly but it is a valuable tool for swaps. This works for brake parts etc etc etc...

You can also sometimes tell if that part from O-reilley is the same manufacturer as the one from Napa.
