Your best bet would be to get a hold of a Multimeter (like a FLUKE) and test the bulb socket. You most likely have a bad ground or a short in the wire somewhere. Start with the easy stuff first. You did the logical thing by replacing the bulbs and fuses. I would also use an ohm meter to check the reverse switch on the transmission itself. There should be a bracket on the bell housing the aligns the shifter to the trans. Check to see if this is bent or loose. Who knows? You could even have bad reverse switch. Like I said...Start with the simple stuff first though.
