Disc brakes

My brake pads are ok at 27k but obviously won't last a great deal longer. I have no pulsation or any apparent problem. Is it just insane to consider replacing pads without turning rotors?

I've done it but you should turn the rotors for proper break in of pads and reduce noise etc. Pull em off yourself should be about $10 a piece

Thanks for the quick reply. I guess I'vebeen a little paranoid with all the disc brake stories I'm hearing about "thin" rotors from the factory etc. I've been considering the "fleet" discs as I tow a travel trailer. My 99 F350 7.3 is truly one the finest vehicles I've ever owned. Any really specialized tools for removing the rotors?
