92-97 4WD Conversion
I have my eyes on a 97 F-SuperDuty 2WD and I was wondering what I would have to do to convert it to a 4WD.Could I use all the parts off of a F-350 4x4? Do they both have the same suspension? Ford never actually produced a F-SuperDuty 4x4 in the factory but alot of utility companies sent them to conversion companies to make a 4x4.I know the F-Superduty has 10 stud axles instead of 8 like the other trucks. Does anyone know if the axles are interchanable and if not what's the difference between the two? I e-mailed Marmon-Herrington and they said that they don't convert them anymore because Ford make a F-450 4x4 now.I know they don't manufacture the 4x4 conversion kits for the 97 and earlier F-Superduty(F-450) anymore but I was wondering if anyone knew of someone that had any leftover.
