AIC Instructions

I just picked up an idle control unit (made 10/99) that has the LCD display with the following push buttons:

"PTO Control",
"Charge Protect",
"RPM Control",
"Power",
"Ford",

and with the 4 different up/down arrows as well.

It is new/unused but was lacking the instruction sheets for mounting and programing the unit. Does anyone here a copy of the manual that could be posted, faxed or emailed?

On the mounting, it came with a bracket that I have been unable to figure out how or where it is actually mounted in the cab. Do to its odd shape, it has to go in a particular spot.

Also the wiring harness has one lead from the unit with the AIC male plug that clips into the plug under the steering column (this works fine). The other lead from the unit (for PTO use and ?) doesn't have a plug on it. Since this unit was made for the 7.3, do the newer 2003 models for the 6.0L have a plug on this second lead?

Thanks for any help you guys can provide.

You can download the manual at:
https://www.fleet.ford.com/truckbbas...blications.htm click on the "APCM Manual" link.

There isn't another plug for the unused lead. The manual shows what the "extra" wires will control if you ever have a need for them.

The bracket mounts to the dash using the two screws that mount the "trash bag" hook to the dash. You need to drill a hole for the 3rd mounting screw. I'm only using the 2 screws to mount mine; no problems so far.
